The Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) hosts a website for educating the public about the 9-1-1 emergency telephone number in the state of Texas. There are links to teacher activities as well as other websites for information. This is a very valuable resource.

9-1-1 for Kids is a website dedicated to educating the youth about calling 9-1-1. There are activities, brocures, and ideas available for download to help adults educate children about 9-1-1 inside and outside of the classroom. Check it out!

NENA's 'Making 9-1-1 Work for You Brochure

The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) published an in depth brochure describing how 9-1-1 should be utilized by citizens. It has valuable information, and is easily downloaded in a printable .pdf format.
